How to get SORA Licensed

 1. Register with the NJ State Police.  Print your temporary certificate and keep the certificate with you whenever you work. The temporary certificate will allow you to work  immediately and is good for 30 days. Also print your fingerprint form. There is a state charge for application. The cost for initial SORA application is $75.00. Click The link below to get started. You will be Re-directed to the state police website.

 2. ​Set up fingerprinting appointment online. (Not required for renewals). There is a one time charge for fingerprinting. $78

 3.  Register for your training class. Register for either initial or  renewal SORA training using the boxes below. Bring your APP number from  the state police and cash ($150.00 initial, $75.00 renewal) with you the  day of the class or pay online.
